Health research around a real situation.
The office publishes 118 plain-English guides for patients and families, and also researches specific diagnoses, treatment options, specialists and questions for an appointment.
The public library
The guides cover conditions, tests, treatments and routes through NHS and private care. UK care is kept in view while the evidence is drawn from sources around the world.
One situation at a time
Letters, results and an existing diagnosis are read together. Treatment options, specialists and useful appointment questions are checked and set out on one page for the next consultation.
Where the work stops
This is research and preparation, not medical care; diagnosis and treatment remain with the clinician.
The library
The full published health library is open to read before you contact me, so you can see the subjects I cover and how I handle evidence.
