I bring the relevant messages, documents, decisions, dates and people into one working record, so the matter can be understood without reconstructing it each time.
I separate what is confirmed from what is disputed, provisional or still missing, and keep the chronology and the source material close to the point they support.
The record changes as the work changes. New evidence, decisions and dependencies are added without losing the history of how the position was reached.
Carry the open work forward
From that record, I keep track of the actions that remain open, who is responsible for each one, and what another step depends on.
I follow replies, deadlines and hand-offs, surface contradictions early, and bring the next decision back to the person who actually needs to make it.
The aim is not more process. It is to stop a moving matter from becoming fragmented, forgotten, or repeatedly rebuilt from memory.
