What GHK-Cu Actually Is

GHK-Cu stands for glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine copper. It's a tripeptide - just three amino acids - naturally bound to a copper ion. It was first identified in human blood plasma in 1973, when researchers noticed that liver cells from older people grew better when exposed to plasma from younger people. The active ingredient turned out to be GHK-Cu.

Your body produces it naturally. At age 20, you have around 200 ng/ml in your blood. By 60, that drops to roughly 80 ng/ml. This decline tracks closely with visible ageing - wrinkles, thinning skin, slower wound healing, and reduced tissue repair capacity.
