Why do I keep getting cramps?

Not a diagnosis: a head start. These are the three drivers most worth checking first, based on what the evidence says gets missed most often.

01

Electrolytes in ratio

Magnesium, sodium and potassium work as a team. Heavy sweaters and low-salt dieters cramp most.

02

Medication culprits

Statins, diuretics and some asthma drugs are classic cramp triggers.

03

Hydration with salt

Plain water alone can dilute sodium further. Salt has been over-villainised for crampers.
